He wished he could keep her locked away—far, far away. The woman looked as though she were arming herself for battle. Her sweet smiles changed the instant the last of the men quit the room.

“What is the matter?” Isobel asked with a clipped tone.

“What is the matter?” Robert began his counterattack in falsetto.

“Where should I start? My men have all left their posts, and training, to come to the beck and call of the devilish temptress besieging Durham .” He watched her eyes grow wide as he spoke. How was it that even now, he could think of nothing but her lips?

“Devilish temptress? If I tempted any man, it was in no way intentional, and in every way a result of the man’s baser interests.” Isobel took a challenging step toward him. She accused him with her eyes and her words. "Furthermore, if it weren't for yer noble act of imprisonment, I would not be here!"

Robert stepped closer to her. Her feminine scent wafted into his nostrils. She easily broke his train of thought. The aroma that lingered about her intoxicated his senses. Beyond doubt, she was a foul temptress! With every attempt to ignore her, he failed miserably. Each time he was in her presence she distracted him. If it was not her beauty that caught his attention, it was her voice and words. The woman drew him in and he did not care to be so affected by her. He needed to reign in his thoughts and focus.

Focus, focus.

In a much calmer voice he said, “Would ye rather I left ye to be ravished by those Saxon mercenaries?” He took another step closer to her as he spoke. He watched her gaze fall to his lips. Her pink tongue crossed her own bottom lip, and a blush came to her soft cheeks. God’s wounds, he felt too much for this lady.

She drew away. “Ravished by those Saxons is not what I want.” Her voice weak, and unusually breathy, he wondered just who she’d like to be ravished by.

His own errant mind conjured up dangerous visions of her naked body slick against his own. He couldn’t help himself, so he asked just what he’d been wondering. “What do ye want?"

Land of Falling Stars, Keta Diablo
Historicals are my favorite genre, so when a friend who frequents HSN told me these were on, I had to order them. I read "Land of Falling Stars". I don't read a lot of Civil War stories, but this was beautiful. I truly enjoyed it. The author really brought out the desolation and fear of the war.

Craven Saunders is a man who can't recall the last time a woman had aroused his desires. According to his friend Anthony, there is a society of men with tastes to match his own. The name of this society is, Carnal Cravings. Their leader, Dominic Beresford is also rumored to be breathtakingly gorgeous.

With his curiosity aroused, Craven agrees to accompany Anthony on a little bit of a spying game. But what had started out as one night of hiding in the bushes and risking their necks just for a glance at who was coming and going, quickly becomes a nightly adventure.

Weeks pass without either of them getting caught. Or so they thought.

Dominic is fully aware of the two young men who have been spotted spying on his home. And one night, he'd had enough. He has his men retrieve them from the woods and bring them to the house where Dominic has every intention of teaching them a lesson.

His intentions were never more than a bit of taunting before allowing the two men to leave. However what began as a naughty game, quickly becomes something more. Affection, desire and need--all feelings that are uncommon to Dominic overwhelm him, until he finds himself desperate to do anything to ensure Craven's return.

I've been eyeing Keta Diablo's Land of Falling Stars for months now. However, this happens to be the first story I've read by her.

Considering the length of the tale, she still managed to pull me in and make me appreciate her characters' desires, needs and flaws.

Craven, being the more sensitive of the two, balanced out Dominic's alpha character beautifully. Dominic was tired of engaging in meaningless releationships, and Craven was desperate for a relationship. The timing was perfect for these lovers.

I also enjoyed the change in backdrop. I read a lot of historical romances and most take place in England, so to have one taking place here was a really nice change.

Carnal Cravings is an extremely hot read. The scenes that transpired throughout are enough to make you squirm. If you are looking for a steamy m/m romance that will be a quick read, then look no further.

Keta out did herself!I had the pleasure of reading Land of Falling Stars several months ago and knew instantly that I had found an author that was going to be on auto buy. This is actually the third book I have read by this author and it just keeps getting better. I have yet to be disappointed.

In Dust and Moonlight, Keta brings Kira to another world in another time. A land where her father was summoned from. She has traded one battle for another and is faced with the chance at a love that will know no bounds. Her desire to go home is at battle with the desire to stay wrapped in Balion's strong arms of love.

Dust and Moonlight is a definite 5 star read that I highly recommend to any lover of romance, time travel or fantasy!

Story behind the TEXTNOVEL story:
Writer's block. That's what I blame the inspiration on my novel, Muse Struck, on. I'd just come off of writing the first novel in the Three Kinds of Wicked series, Wicked Temptation. This project was a dark, angsty erotic romance and to say I felt emotionally exhausted by the intensity of the book is the understatement of the century.

Worse, my oldest son, who has severe autism, entered the most difficult phase of his life while I was completing Wicked Temptation. But life waits for no author. I was obligated to provide my publisher another (dark) story, and my muse was clearly out to lunch. I was paralyzed creatively. I didn't have the heart to tackle another emotionally taxing story, so I decided to try my hand at a light, steamy romp based on an artist whose muse refused to be denied.

Sixty some thousand words later, I've acknowledged that Muse Struck isn't content to be just a simple short story. Writing Dante and Camille's outrageous romp is the most fun I've had writing in a long time. And I'm awestruck that their steamy romp remains in the top five of the Dorchester Publishing "Next Best Celler" contest entries at TextNovel.

I hope the readers here at Keta's Keep find my serial romance worthy of their thumbs up vote at textnovel! Should this story see publication via the contest, I intend to donate my winnings to Autism Speaks. (www.autismspeaks.org). Because the resolution of Camille and Dante's story involves the love for a child with autism, each vote is a step in helping me use my writing to put an accurate face on this potentially devastating developmental disorder.

On Monday, for the first time, HSN (HOME SHOPPING NETWORK)will be offering up copies of eight selected romance novels, one of which, LAND OF FALLING STARS, was penned by Keta Diablo. This is the Home Shopping Network's first foray into selling novels.

The segments, themed “Escape With Romance,” will appear twice Monday and again early Tuesday morning, according to the schedule on the show's site, HOME SHOPPING NETWORK ESCAPE WITH ROMANCE

Each segment is an hour long. The first, from 8-9 a.m. on September 14th will feature Holly Schmidt from Ravenous Romance, a Beverly, Mass.-based publishing house. The show returns in the 4-5 p.m. timeslot that afternoon, and then, for the insomniac audience, airs again from 3-4 a.m. Tuesday.

Review:
Set in 1842, The Sin Eater's Prince is the story of Owen, a sin-eater who meets people on their death bed and absolves their sins into him. while Owen is doing exactly that, he see Dr. Andras Maddock and as in the past, his eyes refuse to leave him. His attraction is a distraction to all that is going on around him. Finally he gets to work and does his job to the poor woman dying.

As he is about to leave, Andras warns him there are evil creatures at work in the dark forest and he should spend the night. Not trusting what he might do with Andras, Owen forces himself to leave. Once in the dark though, evil is waiting. Just as he is about to get attacked from an evil vampire, Andras races in and kills the evil creature.

They both make it into shelter before any of the slain vampires kin can take revenge. Here they discover each other and Andras finds comfort, something he had never had in his life. He also learns a secret, one that brings Andras and Owen closer together.

The Sin Eater's Prince is a very short story, but I like the concept. A sin eater, alone in the world going from victim to victim, with nothing but a bleak outlook on life. Then he finds someone to share things with, who is a vampire. They have an altered outlook on life as a similarity between them.

I thought Andras attacking the oldest vampire on earth could have been played out a bit more. He said he had been looking for him all his life, and he seems to have killed him quite quickly. The romance scene was nice and sweet but I thought could have been a bit more spicy, especially after the revelation Andreas admits to near the end of the story. The ending leaves you guessing, and I can see it being set up for a longer novel, which in fact it has been contracted for a full length book.

My Review: Carnal Cravings may be a short novella, but it had my heart pounding more than one time, and for completely different reasons. This book has a touch of suspense, a few horrible memories from Craven, and several very hot sex scenes between sexy men. What more could you ask for?

Despite the short length of the book, I was drawn in and held captive by the mysterious Dominic and the sweet, young Craven. This book moves along at a very fast pace, keeping you on the edge of your seat, panting for more. The only thing I can think of that would make this book better would have been use of lubrication and more length to the story.

Carnal Cravings is a great, quick read to heat you up and leave you satisfied. The scene in which Craven has memories of his childhood and Nurse Evans might make you shudder and cringe for poor young Craven, but his life is looking up just fine with Dominic in the picture.

Morgan is a strong man who knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to go after it. Unfortunately like a man he goes about it in the longest most stupidly painful way possible.

Set amidst the tight morals and high society of historical Savannah Decadent Deception is an enchanting and seductive romp that will keep you entertained for hours. Watching Morgan and Olivia take their erotic journey together will give you a few laughs even as you occasionally want to slap Morgan upside the head. The sexual tension is explosive and when Morgan and Olivia finally come together sexually you won’t be able to look away. With so much story texture and an emotional reverb that will leave you reeling Decadent Deception will have you eagerly awaiting Ms. Diablo’s next book.
